		Michelle Vial's painting is always luminous and original. The observation of the world which surrounds her is the first principle of her paintings. Playing with shades and lights in her painting Markets of Provence, subtly enlightening the attenuated colors of the skyes of Paris, making the water to gleam, engraving roots or currents in the colored matter, everything, in her painting, is pursuit and surprising special effects combined with an unslung imagination. Self-taught, Michelle Vial developed new techniques of paintings thanks to her experience of painted pieces of furniture and copies of masterpieces. Before settling on Paris, she lived many years in Provence, area which inspired her by its luxuriant colors and its particular light. She took part in many artistic events in Provence, carried out a poster of the festival of transhumance in 2001 in Saint Rémy of Provence and painted a portrait of Nostradamus, sold as postcard. Adversity in her life led her to settle in 2001 in Paris and to change the signature of her works (she took again her maiden name). Afterall, her always so dynamic palette includes new particular colors of the parisian atmosphere (Paris, Notre-Dame of Paris etc…). Michelle Vial exposed her works in Aix-en-Provence, in New York, and more recently in Los Angeles and Paris.
